Early diagnosis and treatment is key to managing lymphoedema. MLD is a specialised light massage, MLD encourages drainage away from swollen area of limb, MLD can soften and reduce fibrotic area of limb over time, Skin is cleansed and moisturised, Soap substitutes and moisturisers in form of ointment should be used.
